Marios ZACHARIAS joined the FOTON Institute – UMR CNRS 6082, CNRS, INSA Rennes, University of Rennes – in October 2022 within the BIENVENÜE international post-doctoral scholarship program. Since the beginning of May 2023, he is the recipient of a Marie Sklodowska-Curie (MSCA) scholarship (ULTRA-2DPK project) under the supervision of Jacky EVEN. His research project on perovskite materials fits to the European Union’s objectives for a sustainable solar energy ecosystem, as well as the development of modern and inexpensive optoelectronic technologies. As part of the “European High-Performance Computing (EuroHPC) Joint Undertaking (JU) [1]” call for projects, he has just obtained access for one year to the LUMI exascale supercomputer based in Finland. Lumi is the most powerful European computer and in the top five worldwide [2]. It is accessible within the framework of European calls for projects [3].
